Scope
These Event Terms & Conditions (“Event Terms”) apply to Quantum Bradford 2025 (the “Event”), organised by Aqora Quantum SAS in collaboration with the Partners named on the Site. Participation is free for attendees and competitors; sponsorships are governed by separate agreements.
Event format and dates
The Event includes global online activities leading up to an in‑person final in Bradford, UK on 21 November 2025 (date subject to change). Specific schedules, venues, and joining instructions will be announced on the Site or by email.
Eligibility; minors
Participation is open globally. If you are under 18, you may participate only with parental/guardian consent and, for in‑person activities, with an accompanying adult if required by local rules.
Registration and selection
Registering interest does not guarantee selection or admission. We may limit participation to ensure quality, safety, and diversity of disciplines.
Travel, visas, insurance
Participants are responsible for their own travel documents, visas, and insurance. Unless expressly stated in writing, travel and accommodation are not provided.
Code of Conduct
All participants, mentors, judges, sponsors, and staff must follow the Code of Conduct. Breaches may result in removal from the Event.
Health & safety
Follow all venue rules and staff instructions. Do not engage in unsafe activities. If you feel unwell, inform staff.
Intellectual property
Participants retain ownership of code, designs, data, and other materials created for the Event (“Submissions”). By making a Submission, you grant Aqora, the Partners, and Event sponsors a worldwide, royalty‑free, non‑exclusive, revocable licence to evaluate, test, display, and showcase your Submission for Event operations, judging, post‑Event reporting, and promotion (including websites and social media). You remain responsible for ensuring your Submission does not infringe third‑party rights and for complying with any open‑source licences you use.
Data and publicity
We may photograph and record the Event. By attending, you consent to being included in Event media and to Aqora and Partners using such media for documentation and promotion. If you prefer not to be recorded, please inform staff; we will take reasonable steps (e.g., non‑photography lanyards) where feasible.
Changes, cancellation, force majeure
We may modify the Event programme, postpone, or cancel for reasons beyond our control (e.g., safety, venue issues, strikes, public health). Where feasible, we will communicate promptly. No compensation is payable for free participation.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aqora and the Partners are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
Third‑party platforms
Participation may require accounts on third‑party platforms (e.g., Aqora). Those platforms have their own terms and privacy policies, which apply separately.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Event Terms are governed by French law. The courts of Paris (France) have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections.
